New Brunswick’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Jennifer Russell said on Friday that although the province has come through the first wave of the pandemic, and has almost come through the second one, a third wave will be “much worse than the first and the second combined” due to emerging and much more transmissible variants like the U.K. and South African ones.
