Coronavirus: New Zealand probe suspected community COVID-19 case, 1st in months
New Zealand health officials are investigating a suspected community case of COVID-19, the first possible case of community transmission the country has seen since November. According to officials, the case is a 56-year-old woman who had travelled to Spain and the Netherlands late last year before returning to the country. She went through managed isolation, part of the country’s border measures, and was released on Jan. 13 after testing negative. During her stay in isolation, they said she tested negative twice.
