Summerland care home remains under gov’t control
Description
January 19, 2021
A privately-owned seniors’ home in Summerland will remain under government control until, at least, July, due to outstanding concerns about the care of seniors.
As Shelby Thom reports, the union representing workers at Summerland Seniors’ Village says issues at Retirement Concepts facilities point to a larger problem about a lack of accountability when publicly-subsidized care homes are owned by off-shore companies.
