Motorists can expect all kinds of road conditions in early winter – from clear, sunny skies and dry roads to icy highways and snow covered routes. Each year, at the beginning of the season, police respond to dozens of crashes caused by drivers who are ill-prepared for the weather. Peterborough County OPP Constable Joe Ayotte stopped by Global News Morning Peterborough to share a few winter driving tips, and talk about why it’s important and mandatory for motorists to be ready for winter.
