Road closures result in backlash among commuters

In October a section of Parkhill Road East was closed to traffic to allow for construction on the Warsaw Swing Bridge. The City of Peterborough also opted to close several nearby streets and bridges, anticipating what would have been a sudden increase in traffic as motorists sought detours around Parkhill Road. But those closures have resulted in some backlash among commuters who say it’s added a lot of time and cost to their morning drive. Kevin Jones, Transportation Manager for the City of Peterborough joined Global News Morning Peterborough to talk about the issue.
