Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief medical officer of health, said Wednesday that a person’s postal code, or where they live and whether they have housing, “really matters” when it comes to public health. She said she hoped the coronavirus pandemic would prompt governments’ to act on building rapid housing and other measures to address homelessness.

Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief medical officer of health, said Wednesday that a person’s postal code, or where they live and whether they have housing, “really matters” when it comes to public health. She said she hoped the coronavirus pandemic would prompt governments’ to act on building rapid housing and other measures to address homelessness.
