Coronavirus: Bank of Canada expects long-lasting pandemic effect on economic growth

Tiff Macklem, the Governor of the Bank of Canada released new economic projections on Wednesday, expecting the economy to take “quite some time” to fully recover from the pandemic, with the assumption of a widely available vaccine by mid-2022 and the need for no more extensive lockdowns. He said the pandemic will have long-lasting effects on future economic growth.
