Trump says he doesn’t know who Proud Boys are, asks them to ‘stand down’

Speaking to reporters outside the White House on Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump said he does not “know who the Proud Boys are,” adding that “…whoever they are they have to stand down [and] let law enforcement do their work.” Trump declined to condemn the Proud Boys, a right-wing militia group, during Tuesday’s night’s debate, instead telling them to “stand by.”
