During a briefing in Hunstville, Ont., Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced on Wednesday expanded saliva testing for COVID-19 at three hospitals in the province. This method of testing is less invasive, and is easier for children than the traditional nasal swab. Ford also called upon Health Canada regarding further expansion of saliva testing, stating all he “hears are crickets” from the organization.
