Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said on Friday that the decision to resume NHL games in some provinces came after ‘close and careful’ collaboration between Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam and provincial health officers in Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia. Dr. Tam added that there will be different measures put in place throughout the different stages of the return to ensure appropriate screening and testing, with all measures being reviewed regularly.
