MP Karen Vecchio (Conservative), Lindsay Mathyssen (NDP), and Jenica Attwin (Green) spoke to reporters on Thursday about their letter to the federal ministers of public safety, justice, and women and gender equality calling for immediate action and support for victims of sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Vecchio said girls in the London abused women’s centre are being forced to end their programs as they’ve stopped due to lack of funding, and asked the government why their $75 million funding for those programs is not yet delivered for front-line agencies.
