CDC director Robert Redfield warned of a potential worse wave of COVID-19 to come around winter 2020-21 should the virus resurface due to difficulties the country could face in fighting both the coronavirus and the seasonal flu at the same time. Scientists are hoping by fall there will be a reliable therapy to combat another wave, but there is concern after a recent study showed hydroxychloroquine was ineffective as a treatment. The study still needs to be reviewed in order to determine its accuracy.
