During a World Health Organization (WHO) COVID-19 update on Wednesday, emergencies programme director Dr. Michael Ryan said it is important for all countries to take the pandemic “seriously,” and that they need a “comprehensive strategy” that would help health systems “absorb the blow” caused by the virus outbreak.
