Speaking to reporters Thursday morning, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said he had spoken to Health Minister Dr. Zweli Mkhize, who informed him that the country had identified it’s first case of novel coronavirus. He added that South Africans “should not panic, but should be alert” as the government continues to demonstrate seriousness and transparency in dealing with this matter.
