House Intelligence Committee chair and impeachment manager Adam Schiff on Wednesday accused the U.S. President Donald Trump’s counsel of using the trial to “smear” former vice-president and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Schiff said the Democrats are not interested in “trading witnesses” by allowing a witness that would “smear a presidential candidate” in return for a relevant witness.
