Northern Pulp mill will shut down by Jan. 31: Stephen McNeil

The premier of Nova Scotia says the Northern Pulp mill near Pictou, N.S., must stop pumping wastewater into lagoons near an Indigenous community by Jan. 31, 2020. Stephen McNeil confirmed on Friday that his government will enforce the date laid out in legislation passed by the Liberal government nearly five years ago.
