Federal Election 2019: Scheer reaffirms Conservatives support rights of LGBTQ community

Conservative Party Leader Andrew Scheer reaffirmed on Oct. 7 that “all Conservative members of parliament” stand up for the rights of the LGBTQ community and “promote” inclusiveness and equality, after he was asked about the Conservative candidate for Burlington, Jane Michael, who has allegedly made previous homophobic comments. Scheer said Liberal Party Leader Justin Trudeau hasn’t fired Sydney-Victoria candidate, Jaime Battiste, for making sexist and homophobic comments in the past.
