A tornado touched down in the area of Orléans, Ottawa, on the evening of June 2, damaging homes, roads and businesses, and injuring one person, according to Environment Canada. Pilot Jonathan Hilaire was flying home from an airshow in his L-29 Delfin Jetfighter when he was forced to divert his landing to another airport due to tornado threats in the area. He managed to take out his phone mid-flight to film the tornado before safely landing at an airport nearby.
