NASA runs simulation involving Armageddon-style asteroid impact

The hypothetical asteroid was 165 to 260 feet wide and would have more energy than multiple nuclear bombs. In the simulation the only way to remain safe is to evacuate New York. The point of the exercise was to practice for real asteroid impacts.
