Man allegedly set himself on fire at Peterborough gas station

A man who allegedly set himself on fire at a Peterborough gas station is in Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto with burn injuries.

It happened at the Petro Canada station at Lansdowne Street and Monaghan Road around 12: 30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

A couple of bystanders reportedly extinguished the fire.

Police say the incident appears to be a mental health issue and the unidentified man will undergo a psychiatric exam.
