If elected, the UCP vows to scrap the tax while the NDP says it’s necessary to help Alberta transition to renewable energy. Dr. Joe Vipond with the Canadian Association for Physicians for the Environment joins Global Calgary to discuss why the tax is necessary to combat climate change.
