Typhoon Mangkhut is predicted to weaken as it moves further inland through Asia in the days ahead, after pounding the Philippines as the strongest storm on the planet this year. But as Paul Johnson reports, there are fears that death toll will climb as rescuers scramble to find people believed to have been buried by landslides.
