Germany’s coalition government avoids collapse after talks

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has managed to keep her three-month-old coalition government together – for now. A leader of the coalition, Christian Social Union Leader and Interior Minister Horst Seehofer, threatened to quit. But Merkel made a deal with him. As Redmond Shannon reports, the tensions centre on the controversial issue of immigration in Europe.
