More than 50 homes north of Princeton are under evacuation alert following a fast moving wildfire about 10 kilometres north of the Similkameen Valley town. The Province of B.C. declared a state of emergency Friday evening because of 56 new wildfires started in the province Friday. The B.C. Wildfire service reports 138 wildfire starts in the province July 7.
