Seasonal agricultural workers may have caused Cawston wildfire
Description
June 28, 2017
There are some families in the Similkameen Valley who are very happy they still have their homes after a very hot and fast moving wildfire tore through the area Tuesday. The fast moving flames came perilously close to several houses. A timely retardant drop by an air tanker was a major factor in saving the homes. There is suspicion the fire was started by seasonal agricultural workers.
