Wed, Jul 6: Last April, Halifax Regional Council approved a $50,000 grant for an SPCA program. Staff and volunteers help trap cats to later spay or neuter and eventually release. The aim is to slow the growth of feral cat colonies, which can number into the hundreds population-wise. Global’s Steve Silva tagged along on a trapping attempt earlier this week.
