REGINA - A popular local restaurant in the Queen City is about to get some national exposure. Fresh and Sweet which is located on Victoria Ave across from city hall will be featured on tonight's episode of Shaw’s Food Network Canada's ‘You Gotta Eat Here!’ The four women who own the eatery still aren't sure how there restaurant got discovered. “Their researchers contacted us last year and asked us if we’d be interested in being on their show and we said yes, obviously, who wouldn’t?” says Allison Sweet. “They’re all based out of Toronto so it’s a mystery how they found out about us.” Sweet was also surprised with how much work went into producing an eight minute segment for the show. “I would guess it took at least two to two and a half hours for every minute that we’ll see,” says Allison. “They spent two full days with us. The first day they interviewed a number of our customers and got their opinions on the food. It will be interesting to see which customers get featured on the show.” You can catch the ‘Fresh and Sweet’ episode tonight at 7 p.m. on our sister cable channel the Food Network Canada.
