From birthdays to graduations, people around the world use billions of latex balloons every year. Some are marketed as biodegradable, but research suggests they're anything but. Balloons often float off into nature, end up in oceans, or in landfills. Now, one scientist in the U.K. believes she has invented a truly biodegradable balloon that can degrade in nine months; they call it Bioloon. Redmond Shannon has more.
