The second full day of the Milano-Cortino Olympics is wrapping up with plenty of excitement and drama. But a long wait is also ending for hockey fans as NHL players finally return to the games. Members of Canada’s men’s hockey team arrived in Milan earlier on Sunday. Among them is two-time Olympic Gold medallist Sidney Crosby, who has been named team captain. Not since Sochi in 2014 have NHL players laced up for the Olympics. Lindsey Vonn was taken to hospital after a violent crash during the Olympic downhill in Cortina d’Ampezzo on Sunday. Vonn lost control early in her run and was airlifted from the course for medical assessment. Vonn had been attempting a comeback despite a recent knee injury, with her Olympic return drawing global attention. Candice Cole reports.
