An Integrated Threat Assessment Centre report obtained by Global News says an attack during a Jewish holiday in Canada is a “realistic possibility.” Though they know of no “credible threat” during the 2025 holiday season, the agency says they cannot discount a lone actor or small group planning an attack. Since the deadly Hamas attack in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, the term “realistic possibility” has been used to describe the chances of an attack on Canada’s Jewish community.
