The long awaited Deux-Montagnes line of the REM train service is set to open to the public Saturday morning. On Friday, the branch was officially inaugurated, showcasing 14 new stations and creating a direct line of transit from Deux-Montagnes to Brossard on Montreal’s south shore. As Tim Sargeant reports, officials are hoping the new service will revolutionize mass transit in the Greater Montreal region.
