As we head into the second half of 2025, a new report by Equite shows that auto-thefts are down just more than 19 per cent during the first part of the year, compared to the same period for 2024. Despite this decrease, the nature of auto-thefts in Canada appears to be evolving. Bryan Gast, National Vice President of Investigative Services at the Equite Association, discussed with Candace Daniel the details of the report, including how the threat of tariffs could be driving vehicle theft.
