Speaking in The Hague on Monday, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte confirmed “all allies agree” on the organization’s new defence spending target. With some exceptions, all NATO allies will be required to work towards putting five per cent of their GDP towards annual defence capabilities by 2035.
