At a press conference on Saturday, SPSA President Marlo Pritchard said more than 15,000 people have been displaced by wildfires burning across Saskatchewan.
The province is doubling daily support payments and training extra staff to manage evacuee call volume. Multiple communities remain under evacuation orders, with several major fires still not contained.
