A by-election has officially been called in Halifax to replace a seat that’s sat vacant ever since Andy Fillmore resigned in September to run for the city’s mayoral position. Both the NDP and Liberals announced candidates on Sunday – with NDP leader Jagmeet Singh making the trip to Halifax for a campaign launch event. Mitchell Bailey has the story.
