Feds introduce legislation requiring pregnancy counselling charities to disclose abortion services

The Canadian federal government has introduced new legislation that would require pregnancy counselling charities to disclose if they also offer abortion or birth control services. Government officials say this is meant to ensure women looking for these services will receive accurate and safe information. If the legislation is passed, new organizations that don’t disclose the services would be at risk of losing their charitable status.
