‘Femicide’ should be in Canada’s Criminal Code, advocate says

Megan Walker, an advocate to end male violence against women, spoke with Global News about the importance of using the term ‘femicide’. Femicide is the killing of a female because they are female, and Walker says it is essential to use the term to acknowledge and identify the violence women face. Walker is advocating that the term be added to the Criminal Code of Canada.
