Crowsnest Pass coal mine controversy continues

For years, an Australian-owned coal company has had its eye on an open pit mining site in Alberta’s Crowsnest Pass. Multiple applications were denied by the province and energy regulator, who deemed the project to be an environmental risk. But a recent drilling exploration program application by Northback Holdings is under review. Jordan Prentice toured the Grassy Mountain site.
