West Island drivers asked to avoid Highway 40 due to weekend closure

Drivers are being warned to stay away from the Metropolitan expressway this weekend near the Decarie. A seven-kilometre stretch of the elevated highway will be closed to traffic. The reason? The asphalt needs to be repaved. As Global’s Tim Sargeant reports, it’s the second time this part of the expressway will be redone in only two years.
