TTC phasing out some gates to crack down on fare evasion

Originally meant to provide a seamless transition for people not required to pay for a fee, no-tap gates ended up costing the TTC about $20 million in fare evasion. The transit service began phasing them out on Monday, but the process will take years. Matthew Bingley reports.
