Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit is probing a crash in Havelock on July 8 after a vehicle reportedly fled from Peterborough County OPP.
OPP say the driver failed to stop for an officer and fled. A short time later it crashed into a hydro pole at a hydro station on Belmont 6th Line.
Hydro One says the crash knocked out power to more than 5,000 customers for several hours.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. He faces multiple charges.
