At least 36 people have been killed across Ukraine in one of the deadliest series of Russian attacks in months. One target was the country’s largest children’s hospital. Russia is denying it targeted the hospital or any civilians. With the Olympics just weeks away, France may be facing a long period of political uncertainty. The snap election, called by President Emmanuel Macron, has ended in a hung parliament. In the U.S., President Joe Biden is facing a difficult week, as world leaders descend on the American capital for the 75th anniversary of NATO and more members of his own party openly question whether he is best suited to carry the country four years into the future. Plus, more than 20 heat records were shattered in British Columbia over the weekend, with temperatures reaching north of 40 degrees Celsius in parts of the interior.
