A group of physicians are warning that a new policy recently introduced by the College Of Physicians And Surgeons of Nova Scotia could worsen the province’s doctor shortage. The policy requires them to refer patients for procedures they may not support due to religious or personal beliefs. But as Skye Bryden-Blom reports, the governing body of the profession says this principle isn’t new.
