Brampton shooting claims life of man from Toronto: police

Peel Regional Police said they were called to the area of Kennedy Road South and Stafford Drive in Brampton at around 4:30 a.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting. “Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male inside of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital, where he has since been pronounced deceased,” Const. Tyler Bell told reporters at the scene. He said the victim was a man in his 40s from Toronto. Bell added that investigators are confident the shooting was a targeted incident, though it’s not yet confirmed if the victim was the intended target.
