Roughly 15,000 people in north Calgary were without internet service on Monday after an attempted theft of copper wire. The ongoing thefts are a major source of inconvenience for customers and expensive for companies to combat. As Carolyn Kury de Castillo explains, there are calls for increased penalties and more regulations for those who are buying copper.
