In tonight’s top story: Some good news for the Royal family after months of woe. On Sunday, King Charles made his first public appearance since his cancer diagnosis in February. And, since Russia's invasion began two years ago, Canada has welcomed nearly 300,000 Ukrainians seeking to escape the conflict on emergency visas. But Sunday marked the last day for anyone who was granted those visas to arrive in Canada. In the House of Commons, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland are into the home stretch of preparing to deliver this year's federal budget. Freeland is set to table the spending plan in the House of Commons April 16 and she's been getting lots of advice on what should be in the budget. As our chief political correspondent reports, some of those recommendations are aimed squarely at making life more affordable for senior citizens. Over in Calgary, a church is showing solidarity with it’s LGBTQ+ community as it combines an Easter service with a drag show, resulting in the “Drag Me to Church” service.
