A proposal to instate new leadership in Haiti appears to be crumbling, days after Prime Minister Ariel Henry said he will resign, as gang violence continues to grip the country and disrupt life for Haitians. Several political parties rejected the plan to create a presidential council that would be responsible for selecting an interim prime minister and a council to chart a new path for the Caribbean country.
