Any teacher in Surrey who wants to teach any one of four classic books, including Harper Lee’s Pulitzer-Prize winning To Kill a Mockingbird, will need to take their students views into account. It was one of four books pulled from the district’s recommended reading curriculum in a decision made in November, but not announced publicly. Travis Prasad has more.
