The rate of children born per woman across Canada in 2022 dwindled to one and a third, which is the lowest recorded in more than a century, according to a Statistics Canada report. As Katherine Ward reports, the drop in 2022 is the second-largest in history — only behind the baby bust that followed the 1946-1965 baby boom.
