Israel has revised its estimate of casualties in the surprise attack by Hamas on Oct. 7th, now stating that around 1,200 people were killed, down from the initial estimate of 1,400. Meanwhile, the Hamas-run health ministry claims that over 11,000 people in Gaza have been killed since Israel’s retaliatory attack. In response to the ongoing violence, Israel's military has announced that it will assist in the evacuation of infants from Gaza's northern hospitals.
